Just finished watching Hector and the Search for Happiness which is streaming on Amazon Prime, Hulu, and Netflix. It starring Simon Pegg, Rosamund Pike and Toni Collette. The film synopsis is "Disillusioned with the tedium of his existence, psychiatrist Hector (Simon Pegg) confesses to his girlfriend (Rosamund Pike) that he feels he a fraud for dispensing recommendations to patients who never seem to improve or get any happier. He considers breaking out of his lackluster routine. Summoning up some courage, Hector gives his starved curiosity free rein and embarks on an international quest to find the right formula to bring him joy and vitality. I couldn't stop watching and I loved the message. Simon Pegg is fantastic as is his supporting cast. Five Stars

Here is "Hector's list of happiness."

The Daring Way

If you haven't heard of Dr. Brené Brown and her work on vulnerability and shame resilience...please go to Ted Talks on You Tube and watch the following 2 presentations she did (and watch them in order): 1) The Power of Vulnerability and 2) Listening to Shame. I watched these over two years ago and I was so mesmerized by her research that I have been making her guidelines my own ever since. She is also an amazingly transparent and funny educator and presenter. After the Ted Talks, Oprah featured her in several in-depth interviews on the OWN channel on her program called Super Soul Sundays. After that Oprah produced Part I and Part II of an E-course featuring Brené teaching an in-depth study of her book The Gifts of Imperfection. She has written two other books...Daring Greatly and I Thought It Was Only Me. Originally she offered a training course called Connections early on. This morphed into The Daring Way™ University and they offered The Daring Way™ Curriculum and I just got back from taking this 5 day training in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Brené Brown facilitated the first day of training and then her Senior Staff completed the rest of the training. I am now proud to say that I am a Certified Daring Way™ Facilitator-Candidate (CDWF-Candidate). I can now offer this curriculum to clients. Yeah!!
